Bulldogs top Eagles late

After falling to Park Crossing 11-1, the Andalusia Bulldogs rallied late to defeat the Pleasant Home Eagles 5-4 Friday night in Andalusia.

The Eagles jumped out front 2-0 in the bottom of the first with an RBI from R.D. Clark.

Andalusia rallied back, but heading into the top of the seventh the Eagles led 4-3.

In to bottom of the seventh, Garrett Davis drove in Chase Hopkins to tie the game. Riley Graham followed with a smash to right that scored Ethan Wilson to give the Bulldogs a 5-4 win.

“I thought we played better in the second game,” Bulldogs’ head coach Tyler Dent said. “We still have work to do, but we are getting better approaches at the plate.”

In the first game of the evening, the Andalusia Bulldogs couldn’t get much going against Class 7A Park Crossing as they fell 11-1.

Park Crossing picked up one run in the opening inning, two runs in the second inning and two runs in the fourth inning to go on top 5-0.

Nathan Langley led off

that scored Ethan Wilson to give the Bulldogs a 5-4 win.

Park Crossing picked up one run in the opening inning, two runs in the second inning and two runs in the fourth inning to go on top 5-0.

Nathan Langley led off the bottom of the fifth and later came around to score on an error for the Bulldogs’ lone run of the game.

Andalusia will play Park Crossing today at 11 a.m., and will play Enterprise at 5 p.m.
