10th Cookies with Characters draws 2K+ [with gallery]

Cookies with Characters, the annual fundraiser for Meredith’s Miracles, marked its most successful year yet in its 10th anniversary presentation.
Organizer Kylie Spears said more than 2,000 people attended the two shows Saturday at the Kiwanis Community Center, and fundraising topped $51,000.
“I can’t say enough about how hard all of our volunteers worked,” Spears said.
Meredith’s Miracles assists families with non-medical expenses when a child needs specialized care outside of the local area. In the past year, they have provided more than $58,000 in assistance, Spears said.
