The Red Level Tigers gave it a great effort, but the New Brockton pitchers combined to no-hit the Tigers in a 12-0 win Friday night in Red Level.

Before the game, Red Level had field dedication in the memory and honor of the late Tracy Parker Davis. The Tigers also named the batting facility after Eddie Stacy for all his years of work with athletes at Red Level.

After giving up a hit to start the game, Dylan Jordan retired the next two batters and nearly ended the inning with a strikeout to keep the Gamecocks off the scoreboard, but the ball sailed by the catcher on the third strike allowing New Brockton to score the first run of the game.

Hunter Carpenter led off the bottom of the first inning with a walk and moved up to second on hit-and-run from Colton Dorman.

In the top of the second, Tigers’ third baseman Jeffery Perdue made a spectacular catch in foul territory, using all of his 6-foot-4 frame to haul in the ball.

The Gamecocks added another run in the top of the third and then came across for three runs in the top of the fourth to go on top 6-0 after four innings of play. In the top of the sixth, New Brockton tacked on six more runs.
