The final suspect wanted in a theft case in Opp was arrested over the weekend.

Opp Police Chief Mike McDonald said that on Friday, officers from the Daleville Department of Public Safety arrested Robert Daniel Robbins, 23, on theft of property first degree warrants signed by OPD investigators.

“Mr. Robbins was wanted in his role in the theft of four motor vehicles from a repair facility located on Cool Springs Road on Jan. 3, 2016,” McDonald said. “Mr. Robbins is the last suspect that was at large in this case.

He was remanded to the Covington County Jail and his bond has been set at $150,000.

Earlier this month, Dothan Police arrested Corey James Amos, 19, and charged him with theft of property first degree for his involvement.

Additionally, four Coffee County residents were charged in the incident.

McDonald said that C-shift officers responded to Nawlin’s Garage to three vehicles missing from the lot.

“At approximately 3 a.m., Sunday morning, Jan. 3, OPD officers made contact with two vehicles setting adjacent to the entrance of Nawlin’s Garage,” he said. “When the officers attempted to make contact with the vehicle, occupants of the Ford Mustang fled west on Cool Springs Road and the 2008 Chrysler Sebring fled east on Cool Springs Road. Both of these vehicles were stolen from Nawlin’s Garage.”

McDonald said that the 2000 Ford Mustang crashed at the intersection of state Hwy. 299 (Opp bypass) and Cool Springs Road.

“The driver, Raheem Lajohn Devon Andrews, a 19 years of age male resident of Enterprise, fled on foot, and was taken into custody several hours later on U.S. Hwy. 84 West by A-shift officers,” McDonald said.

He was charged with theft of property first degree and was remanded to the Covington County Jail.

The C-shift officers pursued the Chrysler Sebring eastbound on Cool Springs Road and then eastbound on Hwy. 134 into the city of Enterprise and stopped the vehicle on West College Street.

“Officers took Angel Cherokee Davis, an 18 year of age female resident of Enterprise into custody and she was charged with theft of property first degree, possession of marijuana second degree, po¬¬ssession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and attempting to elude a police officer,” McDonald said.

As the investigation continued, OPD and Enterprise PD recovered 19994 Chevrolet pickup truck form a residence east of Enterprise.

“This truck was stolen from Nawlin’s Garage during the theft of the Mustang and the Sebring,” McDonald said. “A suspect has been identified and officers are attempting to locate him. A 2004 Chevrolet Suburban was also stolen during the theft of the other vehicles.”

During the course of the investigation, officers located a 2007 Dodge Charger in Elba that was also stolen from Nawlin’s Garage on Nov. 1.

The suspect has been identified as Jeffrey Sharod Andrews, 20 years of age male resident of Elba. Andrews is currently in the Coffee County Jail on an unrelated charge.

Officers also arrested a 14-year-old male resident of Enterprise for the theft of the 2004 Chevrolet Suburban from Nawlin’s Garage.

EPD officers located the Suburban at the Green Tree Apartments in Enterprise.

He was charged with theft of property first degree.

Each of the stolen vehicles has been recovered, McDonald said.
