Lady Eagles take out Lady Wildcats

It was another big victory for the Pleasant Home Lady Eagles as they topped Florala 44-27 Tuesday night in Pleasant Home.
Pleasant Home came soaring out to a 9-0 lead before the Lady Wildcats cut it down to 15-10 by the end of the of the first period.
The Lady Eagles’s defense came to work in the second period, and held the Lady Wildcats to just 2 points.
The Lady Eagles, meanwhile, built a 25-12 lead heading into halftime.
Quick points from Camille Holley and Cassidy Godwin put the Lady Eagles up 31-13 early in the third period.
Kaiden LeMaire picked up four-straight points for the Lady Wildcats, but the Lady Eagles held a 33-17 advantage heading into the final period.
River Baldwin got the Lady Eagles started in the fourth period with two trips to the free throw line where she converted 3-of-4 to put the Lady Eagles on top 36-17.
The Lady Wildcats never gave up and strong efforts from Jakiyeh Griffin and Morgan Jackson helped keep Florala in the game, but the Lady Eagles held on for a 44-27 win.
Godwin and Holley each finished the night with 12 points to lead the Lady Eagles.
“We had to play without our two big girls off and on after they got into foul trouble,” Lady Eagles head coach Jerry Davis said. “I was proud that we got 21 points out of (Anna) Bulger and Holley. It’s good to get others scoring.”
