Those living in Opp will soon have the convenience of renewing their tags and driver’s licenses at the Opp Public Library.

Library Director Courtney Smart said that she has been working with the Probate office to get a computer system at the library to provide this service.

“We are training this week,” she said. “And we hope to start (New Year’s) week.”

Smart said this will save time, gas and money for locals.

“It will be easy,” she said. “And we will be able to help you.”

Smart said there will be certain stipulations for renewing online and she encourages everyone to bring their reminder cards with them to the library.

Additionally, they will only we able to take payments in the form of credit and debit cards. No checks or cash will be accepted.
