Red Level outlasts New Brockton

The Red Level Tigers’ varsity boys knocked off the New Brockton Gamecocks 78-76 Monday night in Red Level.
The Tigers fell behind 19-17 in the first period, but a strong surge in the second gave Red Level a 40-26 advantage heading into halftime.
New Brockton showed they weren’t going to just give up after a poor shooting performance in the second period, and by the time the third came to and end Red Level was holding onto a 53-50 lead.
Both teams came out looking to prove something in the final period, and it was the Red Level Tigers who emerged victorious at the end of the shoot-out.
Devon Dexter was the leading scorer for the Tigers with 19 points.
Jeffery Perdue finished with 17 points for the Tigers.
Hunter Carpenter dropped in 14 points.
Javarius Grooms and Ontaryo Nearor each finished with 11.
In varsity girls’ action, the Lady Tigers fell 41-29.
Natalie Feagin led the Lady Tigers with 15 points.
In B-team action, Red Level won 47-36.
Matthew Coleman led the way for the Tigers with 17 points.
