Writer thanks volunteers who rescued him

On Nov. 4, I rolled my truck, ending up pinned upside down in said truck. This occurred on State Road 29 N just outside of Andalusia.
I am unclear about the passage of time, but it seemed that help arrived in just a matter of minutes. I can’t say enough good things about the people that responded to help me.
The firemen were swift, knowledgeable and professional, extricating me quickly and painlessly.
The EMTs were thorough and examined me with a light touch. Jeff Palmer’s wreckers were prompt, and efficient in retrieving my truck and possessions.
I was treated as though I was a member of the Covington community, not just another accident victim. I was taken to the fire station where I showered off the mud. My dog was even taken care of as I did this.
Several people left work to help me. I can’t thank you guys enough for your genuine concern and kindness.
Those of you residing in the Covington volunteer fire department are lucky to have these fine people looking after you.
Once again, my thanks to you all. You truly have a volunteer service that any community would be proud of. My gratitude and prayers are with you always.
