Andalusia Isshinryu has another strong showing

The students of Andalusia Isshinryu Karate made another strong showing, this time at the USYKA Albertville Open Karate tournament in Albertville.
Andalusia Isshinryu students rose to the challenge and picked up a total of 15 first place finishes.
Allen Butler had a big day, as he won the Youth Black Belt Grand Championship in kata and weapons.
Phillip Martin had a lot to celebrate as well, as he earned the Adult Black Belt Grand Championship in kata and weapons.
Every Andalusia student placed in the tournament.
Here are the results for the entire team:
Keith Tankersley finished in first place in adult green belt weapons, and second place in adult green belt kata and fighting.
Tyler Martin finished in first place in green belt fighting, and third place in green belt weapons and kata.
Konnor Owens picked up two first place finishes in green belt weapons and kata, and finished second in green belt fighting.
Kila Owens finished in first place in brown belt kata and second place in brown belt weapons.
Landon Caldwell had a big performance as he finished with three first place finishes in brown belt kata, weapons and fighting.
Dalton Spears garnered two first place trophies in brown belt kata and fighting, and a second place finish in brown belt weapons.
Taj Patel finished in first place in black belt kata, second place in black belt weapons and third place in black belt fighting.
Allen Bulter’s strong day included first place finishes both in youth black belt kata and weapons, as well as a second place finish in youth black belt fighting.
Phillip Martin’s championship performance saw him earn top finishes in Men’s black belt weapons and Men’s black belt kata. Martin also finished second in Men’s lightweight black belt fighting.
