The Covington County Commission on Wednesday appointed Donald Barton to the South Alabama Regional Airport Authority.

Barton replaces current authority member Dr. Charles “Chuck” Burgess, who currently serves as vice chairman.

Other members are Gary Smith, Mike Holloway, and Scotty Short.

The Andalusia City Council, the Opp Council, and the Covington County Commission each appoint one member; a fourth member is the mutual selection of all three.
