Two men led Drug Task Force agents on a chase Wednesday.
According to DTF agent Greg Jackson, agents attempted to stop a SUV with Florida plates on Stewart Street.
Jackson said the vehicle came to a stop and as agents exited the vehicle, the SUV sped off turning left on River Falls Street, then left on Smith Street and then left on Pugh Street.
“The vehicle came to a stop on Pugh Street and a black male subject fled on foot out the passenger side,” Jackson said. “During a foot pursuit, agents saw Oddesius Bryant drop a gun and marijuana.”
Jackson said after a lengthy foot chase, they were able to take Bryant into custody.
The driver, Darion Hamilton, was also arrested.
Both were charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, receiving stolen property second degree and attempting to elude law enforcement.
Bryant is also charged with probation violation.
Jackson said it was determined that the gun was stolen during a theft last month in Andalusia.
In a separate incident, DTF agents made a traffic stop in which agents found synthetic marijuana.
Calvin Cruz Saultz of Andalusia was arrested and charge with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and was held on a $13,000 bond.
