Covington County has two men on Death Row in Holman, both found guilty of capital murder in the 2002 death of Gantt resident Paul LeMaster.

Oscar Roy Doster — Death row since November 2006

Bobby O’Lee Phillips — Death row since May 2007.

According to state records dating back to 1927, the only other execution of a Covington County man was on Oct. 10, 1952, when Desmond (Deasmon) Miles was executed for murder.
