Music fans get ready. The Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce’s July Jamz concert schedule has been announced.

AAAC Executive Director Chrissie Duffy said Thursday she was excited about the event.

“It’s going to be great,” she said. “This is a family friend-ly, fun event that we hope will enhance the lives of our community.”

Duffy said she hopes that people from throughout Covington County will take part in the event.

The event will be held the second through fifth Thursday at Springdale beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Issues featuring Scott Rogers and Phillip McClung will headline the July 9 show.

On July 16, Cat Dean will open and 10-6 Upstairs from Brantley will be the main act.

The Carroll Williams Band will headline the July 23 show and Jamal Curry will open the night’s event.

Ending the festivities on July 30 is Jeff Sellers and the headliner Doctors and Lawyers featuring Evan Brooks.

Duffy said the gates will open at 6:30 and the opener will play until 7:15, and the headliner will hit the stage at 7:30 p.m. The event should end between 9 and 9:30.

Additionally, Kona Ice will be on hand selling shaved ice.

Kids can purchase glow necklaces and play on a foam cannon.

“We’ll end the event each night with a fireworks show,” she said. “Bring your lawn chairs and have some fun in a laid back atmosphere.”
