Comedian to headline MMH gala

Plans are being finalized for the 11th annual Mizell Memorial Hospital Foundation’s Gala.
This year’s entertainment will be from David Ferrell.
For more than 20 years, Ferrell has delighted audiences across America with a high-energy mixture of hilarious stand-up comedy and outrageous impressions.
His show is 100 percent clean and appeals to all ages and backgrounds.
Ferrell has performed for numerous Fortune 500 companies, including Proctor & Gamble, IBM, Nortel and The Gap.
Additionally, he has brought laughter to venues ranging from Trump’s Castle in Atlantic City, N.J. to universities and comedy clubs throughout the country.
The event will be held Thurs., Aug. 6, at 6:30 p.m., at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Center in Opp.
Tickets are $50 each and may be purchased at the Mizell Memorial Hospital switchboard, SIB, CCB and the Opp Chamber of Commerce.
Sponsorships are also needed for the event.
Kristen Averitt, spokesperson for MMH said the following sponsorship packages are available:
• Gold sponsor — $1,000, which includes four gala tickets, a gold leaf engraving and name on banner;
• Silver sponsor — $500, which includes two gala tickets, a copper leaf engraving and name on banner.
• Friends of the Foundation — $250, which includes two tickets and name in the program.
