The Covington County Board of Education approved the hire of James Joseph Wise III at Tuesday’s board meeting as head football coach and social science teacher at Red Level High School.

 

Wise spent the last four years as assistant coach at Lanett High School.

 

“We interviewed a lot of people for the job,” Red Level principal Randy McGlaun said. “He is excited about the opportunity. He called me when I got the job, and said if anything ever comes open at Red Level I want it. He graduated from police academy. He has a good head on his shoulders, and I think he will be the change we need.”
