DA’s offices nets 21 arrests in Tuesday roundups

Covington County District Attroney Walt Merrell and his worthless check unit staff “rounded up” 21 people Tuesday. Although the focus of the round-up was worthless check warrants, there were also other warrants served including violation of probation and numerous warrants.

“We asked all our local municipalities to provide us with some of their warrants that needed service outside their respective city limits,” said Investigator Max Smith. “I am not sure of the total served, but I believe our teams were able to serve around seven for the City of Andalusia, alone.”

The following people were arrested in Tuesday’s round-up:

• Sabree Johnson, 28, for violation of probation and held without bond.

• Brandy Partin, 28, for violation of probation and held without bond.

• Glenda Aldridge, 53, on an arrest warrant and held without bond.

• Anthony Lynn, 22, for violation of probation and held without bond.

• Matthew Hartley, 20, for a grand jury indictment and held on a $100,000 bond.

• Carlos Lawrence, 55, for violation of probation and held without bond.

• Jacquelyn Bryant, 33, for negotiating a worthless instrument and on hold for another agency and held without bond.

• Brandee Nelson, 30, for a grand jury indictment and held on a $25,000 bond.

• Julie Brown, 38, for failure to appear and held on a $500 bond.

• Steven Riddle, 33, for failure to appear and held on a $477 bond.

• William Banks, 49, for four counts of negotiating a worthless instrument and held on a $12,000 bond.

• Kimberly Ainsworth, 41, for failure to appear and held without bond.

• Jerry Richardson, 40, for second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and held on a $10,500 bond.

• Jason Clark, 34, for violation of probation and held without bond.

• Valencia Coleman, 25, for violation of probation and held without bond.

• Chester McKinley, 27, for third-degree domestic violence and held on a $500 bond.

• Hugo Ortiz, 20, on hold for another agency.

• Kamesha Hawthorn, 29, for failure to appear and held without bond.

• Robert Dees, 25, for failure to appear and held on a $503 bond.

• Craig Musgrove, 50, for violation of probation and held without bond.

• Amy Lowery, 30, for four founts of failure to appear and held without bond.
