WILEY RUSSELL
Wiley Russell, 78, a resident of Andalusia, passed away on Fri., May 15, 2015.
A celebration of life was held on Sun., May 17, 2015, at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Alvin Blackburn officiating. Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana directed arrangements.
Survivors Include brothers, Buddy Russell of Gantt, John (Marilyn) Russell of Spanish Fort, Paul (Nelda) Russell of Theodore and Allen (Ann) Russell of Ft. Deposit; and a number of nieces and nephews.

OPAL PRESLEY FOLMAR
Mrs. Opal Presley Folmar, 85, of McKenzie, passed on Sun., May 17, 2015, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today, Tues., May 19, 2015, in the Keahey Funeral Home chapel.
The Rev. Eugene Meadows will be officiating. Interment will follow in the New Home Cemetery.
Survivors include a husband, William Marvin Folmar of Mckenzie; son, William O. (LaVon T.) Folmar of Red Level; grandchildren, William Garrett (Miranda) Folmar of Brundidge and LaTasha Lynn Folmar of Red Level; great-grandchildren, Keegan Folmar and Boone Folmar; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers include Garrett Folmar, Byron Presley, Tim Dillard, Boyde Folmar, James Mitchell and Keith E. Connally.
JERRY DENVERĀ MUSGROVE
Mr. Jerry Denver Musgrove, 63, of Andalusia, passed away on Sun., May 17, 2015, at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow, Wed., May 20, 2015, in the Blue Springs Baptist Church. The Rev. Joey Williams will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Blue Springs Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Keahey Funeral Home will be directing.
Survivors include step children, Jessica Burt, Joy Harrison and Kate Godwin; brothers, Donnie (Diane) Musgrove of Hornhill, Doyle Musgrove of Onycha, David (Susan) Musgrove of Kinston, Dennis (Caroline) Musgrove of Kinston and Walter (Susan) Musgrove of Andalusia; sister, Merle Seales of Andalusia; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Musgrove was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Musgrove.
PAUL ROBERT BROWN
Mr. Paul Robert Brown, 50, of Andalusia, passed away on Sat., May 16, 2015, in the Andalusia Hospital.
Funeral services were held on Mon., May 18, 2015, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ray Bozeman officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Gilead Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Tina Stanley Brown of Andalusia; his mother, Margaret Brown of Andalusia; his father, Carroll Robert Brown of Asheville, NC; many aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece and three nephews; and his father, Carroll Robert Brown of Asheville, N.C.
Pallbearers will be Ethan Dorsey, John Snyder, David Stanley, David Wilson and Wesley Sheffield.

HOPIE CHANCE RHODES
Mrs. Hopie Chance Rhodes, 92, of Andalusia, passed away on Sat., May 16, 2015, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Tues., May 19, 2015, at Pineview Cemetery in Escambia County with the Revs. Bill Butler and Andy Allen officiating and Foreman Funeral Home directing.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Donold W. and Ann Chance of Brewton, James P. and Linda Chance of Opelika and Patrick E. and Patricia Chance of Brewton; a daughter and son-in-law, Rita F. and Andy Allen of Andalusia; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Elbert E. Chance and Renford Rhodes; a son, Rayford E. Chance; two brothers; and three sisters.

MADELYN G. POWELL
Madelyn Powell, 94, passed away in hospice care at her home in Red Level. She was born on April 5, 1921.
She met the love of her life, Ralph Powell, on the dance floor at Old Riverside Inn in River Falls. They married at her home in Danely Crossroads, near Elba.
Madelyn came to Red Level as a third grade teacher. She taught in Covington County schools for 40 years. She spent many faithful years in the town of Red Level. She was involved in the Red Level Women’s Club, the Women’s Society of Christian Service, the Red Level Methodist Church, and various local festivals, parades and Red Level High School ball games. She devoted many hours to family, friends and relatives. She loved cooking for her family and friends. Her flowerbeds overflowed with beautiful flowers for arrangements for church, home and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, H. Sturgeon and Amy Lindsey Grimes; her two brothers, James Edwin and Patrick O. Grimes; as well as her beloved Ralph. She will also meet her family, Patricia Connally, Robert E. Connally and Mary Daniel at the crossing.
She took great joy in her many nieces, nephews and their children. They remain here to mourn her loss.
Madelyn is survived by her first cousin, Lucy Grimes Martin of Andalusia; her nieces, Joanne Rhoads and Lillian Connally (Jake) Renfroe; her nephews, Mike (Kathy) Purnell and Donald Pullin; her nephew-in-law, Frank G. Daniel; and their numerous children, E.L. Wingo, Jr., Michael Connally Wingo, Connie Huggins, Donnie (Phillip) Stinson, Mary Ann Lambert, Frank (Cindy) G. Daniel Jr., Sharon and Kay Connally, Keith Connally, M. Dee Renfroe, John (Jane) William Renfroe III, J. Ben (Tammy) Renfroe and Kathy Rhoads.
The family wishes to also honor and thank her very special friends, Carolyn Ivey, Jeanette Huber, Pam Nolan, Rhonda Patterson, as well as Diane and Melanie.
Madelyn instilled in her third grade students the attributes of responsibility, respectfulness, courtesy, cleanliness and physical fitness. She began every day with the Pledge of Allegiance to our Nation’s Flag and a reading from the Bible. She believed strongly in the benefits of education. She contributed generously to a scholarship at Troy University in honor of Patrick O. Grimes.
She was buried next to her beloved Ralph after a funeral service at Foreman Funeral Home in Andalusia.
