“As president of the Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce, I am pleased to announce that Chrissie Duffy will remain our executive director,” said Stallion Sasser. “Chrissie and I have worked closely with the other members of the executive committee over the last month assessing our goals and objectives for the Chamber, and we all feel that the timing is not right for a change in that position at this time.”

Sasser said the Chamber is thrilled that Duffy has decided to stay on with the Chamber.

“We are ready to continue to move Andalusia forward,” he said. “My personal goal for the Chamber is to have 50 new members by December. I invite you to join with me as we grow out membership to its full potential and see what we can accomplish as a unified group of business and community leaders.”

Sasser challenged Chamber members to reach out to other potential members in that share a common goal of enhancing the quality of life and being a catalyst for growth in the economy.

“We strive to promote communication among our members and welcome any ideas from our membership on ways to better serve this community,” he said.

Duffy said she was humbled by the outpouring of support she has received from the community.

“I have so many projects and ideas that I am not ready to walk away from just yet, and I appreciate the opportunity to continue on my pursuit with the chamber,” she said. “I plan to manage my time more effectively to better balance family and work and look forward to the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead.”

Sasser encouraged local businesses to join the Chamber for its monthly breakfast, which are held on the last Wednesday of each month.

“Get involved in our Chamber,” he said. “We are working hard today to make Andalusia better tomorrow, but need your help. We will all prosper with communitywide cooperation and support.”
