Logan named Opp’s Own

Former Seattle Seahawks player, Opp High School stand out and current teacher and coach at Daleville High School James Logan will be the keynote speaker at the Opp Chamber of Commerce banquet later this month.
Logan will be honored at Opp’s Own at the banquet.
He played football for coach Paul Wooley and signed to play with Jones County Junior College in Ellisville, Miss., in 1991 and 1992.
He was later selected to play in the Mississippi Junior College All-Star Football Classic.
After graduation, Logan went on to play at Memphis State University, where he is credited with breaking numerous football records.
He was drafted to the NFL, where he played linebacker for the Seahawks. He played for seven years.
Logan was inducted into the Hall of Fame at Jones County Junior College as a freshman linebacker who was credited with 74 tackles and 43 solo stops.
He was also recognized as a sophomore linebacker for 136 solo stops in 10 games and one touchdown.
He serves as an assistant coach for the Daleville Warhawks, where he is able to pass on his knowledge and understanding of football.
