More than 4.5 inches of rain fell in Covington County over the weekend, according to the Choctawhatchee, Pea and Yellow Rivers Watershed Management Authority.

Over a 72- hour period — from Friday to Sunday — 1.88 inches of rain fell at the Hwy. 55 water station, while 2.670 inches fell at the Hwy. 84 station.

In the last 14 days, 6.5 inches of rain have fallen at the Hwy. 55 station, and 6.39 inches have fallen at the Hwy. 84 station.

Covington County EMA Director Susan Harris said the only damage reported over the stormy weekend was a downed tree.
