Pleasant Home senior Alex Myrick will continue his basketball career at Huntingdon after signing his letter of intent Friday morning in the Frank Ray Garner gymnasium at Pleasant Home.

“They got me interested in playing there my junior year,” Myrick said. “I wasn’t sure at first where I wanted to go. I just knew I wasn’t ready to quit playing basketball.”

Myrick said he learned to be a leader this season, and it helped him realize he could play at the next level.

“Being a senior leader during the good times and the bad really helped me realize that I had four years left in me to play college somewhere,” Myrick said.

Myrick said he was excited about the opportunity, and is ready for the challenge.

“Getting my education is the most important thing to me when it comes to college,” Myrick said. “And I’m looking forward to putting in four more years of hard work.”
