Tired of the rain?

Too bad.

According to the National Weather Service, three to five inches of rain will possibly fall through tomorrow.

Covington County Deputy Director of the Emergency Management Authority Alan Syler said people need to be prepared for potential flash flooding.

“The National Weather Service always says turn around, don’t drown,” Syler said. “Find an alternate route around on other roadways.”

The Choctawhatchee Pea and Yellow Rivers Watershed Management Authority reports that 1.8 inches of rain fell at its Hwy. 55 station, and 2.04 inches fell at its Hwy. 84 station.

There is a high chance of thunderstorms for the rest of the weekend.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely, mainly after 1 p.m. today. It will be cloudy, with a high near 78. There is a 60 percent chance of rain during the day and a 70 percent chance at night.

On Sunday, the chance of precipitation is right at 80 percent with it dropping to 30 in the evening.
