Circuit Judge Ashley McKathan took arguments under advisement in a case to determine the fate of a home the city voted to demolish months ago.
Jerry McCormick, who allegedly lives at the 402 Charles Street home, attended the hearing last week without a lawyer and without paying his bond in the case.
McKathan has previously given him additional time to secure representation.
The city of Opp had abated the property multiple times in the past two years.
The CHOPP group, which consists of local residents, helped clean up the property outside, but no improvements have been made on the inside of the home.
McKathan is expected to rule in the near future.
