Relay for Life is less than a month away, but plenty of Relay events are scheduled leading up to the finale.

There are 21 teams signed up to participate in the event, which raises money for the American Cancer Society.

This year’s event has a “Lights. Camera. Cure” theme.

Relay Chairman Larry Brown said they are looking to raise $100,000 for the charity.

Last year’s money raised went to help some 47 individuals with travel expenses, wigs and more.

Committee member Randi Bozeman said Wednesday there are many fundraising events in the coming weeks.
