Lady Eagles hold off Brantley

The Pleasant Home Lady Eagles knocked off the Brantley Lady Bulldogs 7-6 Thursday night at home.
In the bottom of the first inning, the Lady Eagles jumped out front to 4-0 lead. Bella Worley, Linsey Smithart, Camille Holley and Hope Gunter each had one RBI in the first inning.
It wasn’t until the top of fifth that the Lady Bulldogs broke onto the scoreboard with three runs to make the score 4-3.
In the bottom of the fifth, the Lady Eagles answered back with three runs of their own.
Worley drove in two runs with a double, and Jade Self knocked in Worley to give the Lady Eagles a 7-3 advantage.
The Lady Bulldogs rallied in the top of the sixth for three more runs, but the Lady Eagles held on for a 7-6 victory.
Worley led the Lady Eagles by going 2-for-4 with three RBIs in the win.
