2 retiring from county school system

In other business, the board:
• heard a presentation by Kelly McCollough, special services administrator, concerning recent evaluations of special education records conducted by by state department of education, and they found that the county system scored a 100 percent on their annual report, which was the first time a perfect score was handed out in 16 years;
• accepted the retirement resignation of Michael S. Buckelew, as social science teacher/coach at Fleeta Junior High School effective May 1, 2015;
• transferred Greg C. Parker from custodian at Straughn Middle School to custodian at Straughn Elementary School effective immediately;
• accepted the retirement resignation of Susan T. Rodgers as library media specialist at Red Level Elementary School effective May 1, 2015; and,
• recognized Stephanie Bryan and the Straughn High School physics team for winning the state physics tournament in Birmingham.
