Merelee Robinson, a 2004 graduate of Andalusia High School and a 2008 graduate of Faulkner University in Montgomery, recently became employed as a professional touring actor/director with Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT).
Robinson left for Missoula, Mont., to begin training and rehearsal for a three-month tour, which begins in mid-June. During the summer she will be touring Montana, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma and North Dakota. Robinson has hoped to work with Missoula since she was in her very first MCT production in Andalusia when she was only 9 years old.
She also recently became employed as a professional actor to perform in a fall production of the prestigious Birmingham Children’s Theatre (BCT) in Birmingham. She has been cast as “Mrs. Hen” in “The Little Red Hen,” which will open in mid-September at the BCT, located at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex. She will then tour with BCT through Nov. 24 and begin her next tour with Missoula on Dec. 30.
Robinson is the daughter of Melodee Hill Robinson of Montgomery and Donnie Robinson, formerly of Montgomery. She is the granddaughter of Bobby and Merle Hill of Andalusia.
