The Pleasant Home Lady Eagles held off the Red Level Lady Tigers for a 46-28 victory Monday night in Pleasant Home.

 

The Lady Eagles got a fast start off of the shooting of Cassidy Godwin. Godwin paced the Lady Eagles with 9 points in the first period. River Baldwin had 3 points for the Lady Eagles, and Jade Self finished the period with 2 points.

 

Kayla Hinson led the Lady Tigers with 2 points in the opening period. Shelby Holley added a point, but the Tigers trailed 14-3 after the first period of play.

 

The Lady Tigers picked up the pace in the second period, and held the Lady Eagles to just 4 points. Self sank a 3-pointer, and Anna Bulger added a free throw as the only points for the Lady Eagles.

 

Holley paced the Lady Tigers with 6 points in second period, and Hinson tacked on 5 more points. The Lady Eagles led 18-14 heading into halftime.

 

The Lady Eagles came out after halftime and lit up the scoreboard to the tune of 18 points. After three periods of play, the Lady Eagles held a 38-18 advantage. Baldwin racked up 8 points for the Lady Eagles in the third period. Johnnie Forehand and Godwin each finished the period with 4 points. Camille Holley and Bulger added 2 points each.

 

Hannah Colvin and Hinson each had 2 points for the Lady Tigers in the third period.

 

The Lady Tigers outscored the Lady Eagles 10-8 in the period, but it wasn’t enough to defeat the Lady Eagles. Holley continued her solid work down low with 8 points in the final period for the Lady Tigers. Colvin added 2 more points to her total in the period.

 

Godwin led the Lady Eagles in the final period with 4 points. Shelby Stamnes and Self had 2 points each in the period to help give the Lady Eagles a 46-28 victory over the visiting Lady Tigers on Senior Night.

 

Holley led the Lady Tigers with 15 points. Hinson finished the night with 9 points, and Colvin rounded out the scoring with 4 points.

 

Godwin paced the Lady Eagles, and led all scorers with 17 points. Baldwin totaled 11 points on the night, and Self added 7 points.

 

“Red Level came out with a very good game plan,” Lady Eagles’ head coach Jerry Davis said. “They made us down some things we weren’t use to, and we got in all kind of foul trouble early. With all the fouls we had to play a lot of younger girls in the second period. I’m proud of the win, but we have got some things to tidy up
