The Red Level Lady Tigers defeated the Opp Lady Bobcats 33-24 Friday night in the Red Level Christmas tournament.

 

The Lady Tigers got 3 points from Kayla Hinson in the first to take a 9-4 lead into the second. Anna Davis was the only Bobcat to score in the first.

 

Neither team scored much in the second, but it was the Lady Tigers who were on top 12-9 at halftime. Hinson had 2 points for the Lady Tigers. Davis was once again the only Bobcat to score a point.

 

Shelby Holley had a great third period for the Lady Tigers scoring 9 points. Davis had another 2 points for the Lady Bobcats. At the end of the third, the Lady Tigers led 21-13.

 

The Lady Tigers continued shooting the ball efficiently in the final period to beat the Lady Bobcats 33-24. Hinson had 4 more points for the Lady Tigers, and Ariyon Hightower put in 4 points for the Lady Bobcats.

 

Davis led the Lady Bobcats with 11 points, and Hightower finished with 6 points.

 

The Lady Tigers were led by Holley with 13 points. Hinson accounted 9 of the Lady Tigers’ points.

 

“We still look like we are just going through the motions a lot of times,” Lady Tigers’ head coach Allen Catrett said. “I was proud of the girls tonight, and now we have to get ready for a very athletic Samson team.”
