Couple ID’d in ATV accident

A Rose Hill couple died Monday evening in an ATV accident near their home, Circle C Campbell Farms, on Hammett Road.
William Tip Campbell, 60, and Donna Crunk Campbell, 56, were driving home after picking up an item from Tip’s son’s home next door, when a 2005 Malibu collided with their Honda ATV.
The couple was pulling a wagon behind their ATV to transport the item back to their home.
The accident occurred at 6:30 p.m., and Alabama State Troopers said that the Campbells were pronounced dead at the scene.
The name of the driver of the 2005 Malibu will not be released until the completion of the investigation, troopers said.
According to officials, the driver of the vehicle was not injured.
Mr. Campbell served the Covington County Sheriff’s Posse as a mounted posse member, according to Sheriff Dennis Meeks.
The couple owned an equine training and breaking business, and was often seen in the Rose Hill area with their mule-drawn wagon.
Funeral services for the Campbells will be at 1 pm. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Andalusia. Burial will be at the Rose Hill Church of Christ Cemetery on Collie Dirt Road
Visitation will be today, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Keahey Funeral Home, and at First Baptist Church at noon on Thursday.
