Eagles building as season rolls on

Pleasant Home is continuing to build as the Eagles host J.U. Blacksher tonight for their mid-season contest.
PHS head football coach Chris Mason said the focus is working to be a better football team.
“We’re awfully young and every day we use it to get better,” Mason said. “We’re not treating J.U. Blacksher any different than anybody else.”
The Eagles haven’t won a game this season and a good reason why has been the injury bug.
Mason said his seniors are stepping up to lead on the team.
“They’re still hungry despite the frustrations,” he said. “We’re still committed to building. They understand that we’re building that they’re a part of that. We want the seniors to be a part of the success, whether it happens this year or the next year or the next.”
Because of the seniors’ leadership, Mason said that younger players are starting to work out in the weight room to get ready for next year.”
“That’s what gets me really excited about the program,” Mason said.
Kick off tonight is at 7.
