The Andalusia Rotary Club distributed checks totaling more than $21,000 to civic and school groups at a luncheon held Tuesday.

The club’s primary fundraiser is the World Championship Domino Tournament. Rotary Foundation president David Darby made the presentations. Those receiving contributions included:

• Rotary International, for its clean water and polio eradication projects, $2,000.

• South Central Alabama Mental Health, for its outreach programs, $1,000.

• Jo’s Community Dinners, for its Thanksgiving and Christmas meals delivered and served each year, $800.

• Meredith’s Miracles, which provides funds for non-medical expenses when families have to leave the local area to get specialty care for their children, $1,000.

• Lower Alabama Arts Coalition, $1,000.

• St. Mary’s Rice and Beans Ministry, which provides food staples each month for those in need. $1,000.

• Covington County United Fund, $1,000.

• Community Christmas, which provides gifts for needy children, $1,500.

• Habitat for Humanity, an ecumenical Christian organization which works with Habitat families to build affordable housing. In six years, the group has built five homes in Covington County. $1,000.

• Crossover Ministries, which provides addiction recovery help, at no charge to clients, $1,000.

• Andalusia High School baseball, $1,000.

• Andalusia Middle School football, $1,000.

• Mothers of Preschools (MOPS), $1,000.

• Southeast Alabama Scottish Rite, which provides testing of children suspected of being autistic and provides intervention materials. $1,000.

• Covington County Honor Flight, $2,500.

• Andalusia Ballet, for its school outreach programs, $500.

• Red Level High School baseball, $1,000.

• Dolly Parton Imagination Library, which provides a book each month to 660 children in Covington County. $1,000.

• St. Vincent De Paul Society, which provides help for the economically disadvantaged, $1,000.
