Andalusia head football coach Brian Seymore said Brayden Burkhardt is listed as “day-to-day” after his senior quarterback sustained a late first-half injury in the Bulldogs’ loss to UMS-Wright last week.

Burkhardt received a late hit as the first half was winding down, and had to be helped off of the field, where doctors did an initial examination, focusing on his ribs.

When asked if it was a rib injury, Seymore said he didn’t know as of Tuesday afternoon, adding that it’s looking like his leg was injured as well.

Seymore said the doctors feel that the injury to his leg occurred on his fibula.

“We’re going to give him some reps (at practice) to see how many he does,” Seymore said.
