Locals looking to expand their musical abilities now have a new option.
Kevin “Woody” Woodson is teaming up with Andalusia Music once again to share his 40 years of experience with local residents.
“The first classes start Saturday,” he said.
Woodson said half-hour and hour classes are available.
Cost is $10 for the half-hour class and $20 for the hour.
“They are required to purchase a book,” he said.
Once the course is completed, students will receive a framed certificate, he said.
“I was the first music teacher Andalusia Music hired years ago,” he said. “Then, I had 30 students coming in.”
Woodson then taught music at the LAAC, before taking a sabbatical to pursue academic interests.
In the meantime, he’s published three books and written eight.
Woodson said he plans to book classes throughout the week.
“Ideally, students will begin at age 6 or 7,” he said.
