Lorraine Powell Carter
Mrs. Lorraine Powell Carter, age 94, formerly of Andalusia, died Thurs., July 24, 2014, in Enterprise. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sun., July 27, 2014, at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Dr. Fred Karthaus officiating. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 Saturday night at Foreman Funeral Home.
Mrs. Carter is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John Bence and Lori Carter of Enterprise; daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn Carter and Durk Collins of Pelham; two grandchildren, John Bence (Megan) Carter, Jr. of Enterprise and Sara P. Carter of Douglasville, Ga; sister, Neva Powell Carter of Louisville, Ky; sisters-in-law, Mrs. John Clay Powell, Mrs. Flay Owens, Mrs. Jean Fuqua, Mrs. LaNelle Carter, and Mrs. Sally Carter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ricky Lavon Wallace
Mr. Ricky Lavon Wallace, 60, of Andalusia, passed away Wed., July 23, 2014, in the Andalusia Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Sat., July 26, 2014, from Pleasant Home Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Boles officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Home Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Foreman Funeral Home
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Wallace of Andalusia; daughter, Bridget Veasey of Andalusia; son and daughter-in-law, Justin Aaron and Libby Wallace of Dothan; three grandchildren, Cole Veasey, Tanner Veasey, and Ella Wallace; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Sonia Wallace of Andalusia; and sister and brother-in-law, Ann Wallace and Ron Mancil of Perry, Ga.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lucile Wallace, and grandparents, William and Florence Wallace and Lewis and Minnie Barnes.
Pallbearers include Cole Veasey, Tanner Veasey, Zak Wallace, Branston Wallace, Raymond Lassiter, and Johnny Lassiter.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Comfort Care Hospice.

Thera Cartwright
Thera Cartwright, 82, of Andalusia, died Wed., July 23, at her residence. Funeral services will be Sat., July 26, at 2 p.m. at Foreman Brown-Service Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Brooks Cemetery. Cartwright was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Cartwright; father, Bud Mitchell; mother, Dot Smith; grandsons, Randall Jason Sanders and Brandon Creal; and granddaughter, Amanda Cartwright.
She is survived by her daughters, Helen (Dwight) Scofield of Andalusia, Glenda (Weldon) Fitzpatrick of Opp and Rita Drew of Andalusia; son, Floyd (Jane) Cartwright of Mobile; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; stepfather, John (Cindy) Smith of McKenzie; brothers and sisters, Glenn Smith of Andalusia, Louanne Carter of Calvary, Ga., Charles (Cindy) Smith, Rebie (Jimmy) Scruggs, Wayne (Gail) Smith and Judy (Allen) Wingard, all of McKenzie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are her grandsons, Michael Majors, Justin Majors, Zachary Majors, DJ Cartwright, Denver Cartwright and Jere Creal.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., today, Fri., July 25, at Foreman’s.

MELINDA WEED DENNY
Melinda Weed Denny, 49, of Andalusia, passed away Mon., July 22, 2014, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.
Funeral services will be held today, Fri., July 25, at 2 p.m. in the Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Robert Canant will officiate.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Denny is survived by her husband, Wilbert Darrell Denny of Andalusia; mother, Carolyn Starnes Weed of Andalusia; daughters, Kayla Nichole (Justin) Dewrell and Jessica Denny, both of Andalusia; stepson, Nolan (Brittany) Denny of Andalusia; step-daughters, Shana (Blake) Kervin of Andalusia and Miranda Leann Denny of Greenville; brother, Jon (Beth) Weed of Andalusia; and grandchildren, Taylor Rae McKenzie, Brynnleigh Diane Worley, Hunter Blake Stinson, Houston Adam Kervin Jr. and Maddilyn Grace Denny.
Denny was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Mac Weed.
David Wayne Wells
Mr. David Wayne Wells, age 51, of Andalusia passed away Wed., July 23, 2014, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., July 26, 2014, in the Keahey Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mark Thaxton will officiate. Interment will follow in the Stone Lake Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Survivors include his wife, Robin Gayle Davis Wells of Andalusia; father, Charles Winfred Wells of Indiana; mother-in-law, Linda Gayle Davis of Rehobeth, Ala.; brothers, Chris, Jamie, Mike and Wade Wells; sisters, Nora and Casandra Wells; “mother,” Claudette Mazolli of Bonifay, Fla.; numerous nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters-in-law; aunts; uncles; and friends.
Mr. Wells was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Beck Wells.
Pallbearers will be Chris Davis, Cliff Davis, Marcus Davis, Clark Davis, Ethan Lee and Noah Lee.
