A woman wanted in Covington County for failing to appear in court won’t likely forget yesterday’s date after she was arrested on drug charges on her birthday.
River Falls Chief of Police Greg Jackson said he spotted 24-year-old Amanda Jeanne Riles, of Georgiana, in a car driven by Wade David Harrelson Thursday morning in Red Level.
“I stopped a vehicle driven by Harrelson, because I noticed a woman in the car and I knew she had warrants,” Jackson said. “Everyone in the car was nervous and they appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance.”
Jackson said he obtained consent to search the vehicle, where he found more than five grams of methamphetamines, commonly referred to as ice, as well as syringes, plastic bags, digital scales and other items consistent with the use of controlled substances.
Arrested along with Riles were Harrelson, 43, of Andalusia; Brandi Nicole Nolen, 26, of Red Level; and Sarah Ashley Hinson Todd, 23, of Andalusia.
Jackson said all four individuals were charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jackson said an undisclosed amount of cash was confiscated, as was the 2007 Dodge pickup truck the group was traveling in.
All four suspects were booked into the Covington County Jail, each on a $13,000 bond.
