Opp Majors split with Greenville

Opp’s Dixie Majors split with Greenville Thursday night at Merchant’s Field, winning game one 11-1 and then fell 13-2 in game two.
Opp scored seven runs in the fourth inning to pull away in the opener, but Greenville had the upper hand in game two.
In game one, Quinton Maddox of Andalusia went 3-for-3 with two singles and a double along with two runs; Jud Owens went 1-for-3; Colt Harrell of Opp went 2-for-3 with two singles; Russell Mosley went 1-for-2; and DaKota King went 1-for-3 with a home run.
Mosley went five innings, allowed one run on three hits and struck out eight in the win.
In the loss, Greenville scored two runs in the first inning, one run in the second, five runs in the third, one run in the fourth, one run in the sixth and three runs in the seventh.
Harrell and Jace Robbins had one hit each.
The Opp Majors will be back in action on Monday night at home with a doubleheader against Brewton starting at 6.
Then on Tuesday, Opp will host Wiregrass at Northcutt Field for a nine-inning game.
In Pre-Majors action, Opp visits Goshen on Monday and hosts Wiregrass on Tuesday for a doubleheader.
