A Shaw associate whose arm was injured while working at Plant 65 in Andalusia Wednesday was reported alert and in stable condition Thursday morning, human resources manager Beth Legg said.

The woman’s injuries are being treated at Pensacola hospital to which she was transported by life flight.

When rescue personnel were called to the scene Wednesday, it was reported that the woman’s arm was caught in equipment.

“Shaw takes seriously the health and safety of every associate, and we will review the circumstances that led to the incident,” Legg said. “In the meantime, our thoughts are with our associate and her family.”
