Andy girls split at Elba tourney

Andalusia split in pool play action earlier tonight at Elba’s Tune Up Softball Tournament.
The Lady Bulldogs fell 8-1 to GW Long, and won the night cap 5-4 over Highland Home.
Haley Snider went 1-for-3; Millie Manring went 1-for-3; Haley Harper went 2-for-3; and Andi Hughes went 1-for-2 to lead AHS in game one.
In the second game, AHS scored one run in the second and four in the third innings.
Snider, Manring, Harper, Emily Terry and Hughes — the Lady Bulldogs’ top five hitters in the line up — scored for the hometown team.
Manring went 1-for-2; Harper went 1-for-3; Terry went 1-for-2 and Hughes went 2-for-2 to finish the day 3-for-4.
Tessa Walker pitched a complete game for AHS to get the win.
