Red Level will start its 2014 regular football season on Aug. 29, at JU Blacksher.

The Tigers elected to hold a preseason game the week before at Highland Home.

After week one, RLS is slated to play nine straight games without an open week, which coaches can have the opportunity to schedule after the AHSAA’s Central Board of Control approved a resolution allowing teams to schedule an additional week of the regular season.

Red Level will be playing in Class 1A, Region 2 again with Brantley, Georgiana, Kinston, McKenzie and local teams, Florala and Pleasant Home.

The 2014 RLS football schedule is below:

• Aug. 22 at Highland Home (preseason)

• Aug. 29 at JU Blacksher

• Sept. 5 vs. Notasulga

• Sept. 12 vs. Florala

• Sept. 19 at Brantley

• Sept. 26 vs. J.F. Shields

• Oct. 3 at McKenzie

• Oct. 10 vs. Pleasant Home

• Oct. 17 vs. Kinston

• Oct. 24 at Georgiana

• Oct. 31 at Fruitdale
