Traditional Korean painter Ki-son Ryu wowed audience members at Andalusia’s LBW campus Tuesday with his fast-paced painting.

Ryu lives and works in Luverne.

Following the demonstration, during which Ryu divulged key skills of the trade like using only one brush, LBW students were invited to do their best rendition of his work. LBW art students, as well as several community members, were given five minutes to paint their best replica of a Ryu painting. Savannah Ricks, a student from Andalusia, took home the distinction, as well as the prize of an original Ryu painting.
