JANIE P. PERDUE
Janie P. Perdue, 66, of Pensacola Fla., passed away on Fri., Feb. 7, 2014.
Janie was a very loving, caring, kind hearted person that would give you the shirt off her back, or her last dollar. She loved her big family and all of her friends. She never knew a stranger, nor did she know any enemies. She loved her church and all the people there.
She loved to sew and make quilts for her grandbabies, and she loved her cartoons (Woody Woodpecker and Family Guy were her favorites).
She was a 17-year survivor of breast cancer and many health problems. She was an awesome homemaker.
Perdue is survived by her children, Daniel (Carrie) Cooper, Serena (Scott) Sidner and Clinton (Katie) Perdue, and Cuddles her dog; grandchildren, Daniel D. Cooper Jr., Patrick W. Perdue, Amber N. Aceto, Matthew Perdue, Brendon Bell, Dylan Perdue, Austin Perdue, Alex Perdue, Dalton Perdue, Clinton Perdue Jr., Mya Wilson and Melissa Wilson; siblings, Shannon (Jeanette) Hutcheson, George (Patricia) Jackson, Jimmy (Stacy) Jackson, Glenda Johns, Vickie Jones and Dana (Michael) Moore; five cousins; and 13 nieces and nephews.
Trahan Family Funeral Home, 419 Yoakum Court in Pensacola, is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be held Wed., Feb. 12, at the funeral home from noon until funeral services begin at 1 p.m.
Burial will follow at Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.
Perdue’s motto was, “Everything happens for a reason.” God found his reason and made a new angel to watch over her family and friends. She will never hurt or suffer again; however, she now can fly with her wings wide open in this great open sky. Every time it rains, it will be her kisses. Every time the wind blows, it will be her flapping her wings. Though this is a very sad moment for everyone, because we can’t see her or touch her, it’s also a very beautiful one, for now we all have the most wonderful guardian angel over us all. She gave us life; she showed us all what true love is. She showed us how to live life and taught us well, and for that I thank her. For some, if it wasn’t for her, they wouldn’t be here today. We love you Mom, sister, aunt, grandma/nana, and friend. You will be missed.
