Opp City Schools Superintendent Michael Smithart announced this morning that Brent Hill is the Bobcats’ new head football coach.

Hill comes to Opp from Collierville, Tenn., right near Memphis.

Hill comes from St. George’s school, where he served as athletic director and head coach.

“This a great day for us,” Smithart said on WOPP.

Hill compiled a 22-5 record while at St. George’s, and won a state championship there.

Additionally, the new Bobcats coach will also serve as the high school’s athletic director, Smithart said.
