The House of Representatives on Wednesday approved a bill to clarify that teachers and state workers have statutory immunity when carrying out their duties.

The bill was authored and sponsored by Rep. Mike Jones, R-Andalusia.

The bill still must pass the Senate before being sent to the governor for his signature.
