After the closure of Florala Memorial Hospital, it remains business as usual at the city’s nursing home, Florala Health and Rehab.

“We are greatly saddened to hear of the closing of (FMH), but this closing will, in no way, interrupt the provisions of care for past and future (FH&R) residents,” said administrator Sara Goolsby. “We have a long history as a five-star facility and an excellent working relationship with both Andalusia Regional Hospital, Mizell Memorial Hospital and their physicians.

“We will continue to provide the highest quality care for the citizens of Covington and the surrounding counties,” Goolsby said.
