There wasn’t a drum roll, but it would have come in handy at the Andalusia City Council meeting Tuesday night when administrative coordinator Kimberly Jacobs drew the second winning Andy Bucks ticket.

Ticket No. 692742 was drawn, and the lucky person in possession of the matching ticket may report to Andalusia City Hall within the next 30 days to claim the $1,000 of Andy Bucks, which are good at 20 participating stores.

The drawing was for tickets earned with November purchases. November tickets were pink.

Mayor Earl Johnson said if the winner does not come forth with the ticket within the 30 days allotted, the $1,000 prize would roll over to next month’s drawing, making January’s winning ticket worth $2,000.

In other business the council:

• Approved a retail beer and retail table wine license for Simone’s Café and Confectionery, LLC.

• Johnson accepted the annual distribution check from the Southeast Alabama Gas District on behalf of the council. The check was presented by City Councilman Kennith Mount, who also serves as a board member for the SAGD.
