Workers were busy scurrying about at Andalusia Garden Center earlier this week to get ready for the upcoming holiday season.
Customers will start piling into the greenhouse like store and walk around the grounds in search of such popular items as Christmas cactuses, Christmas trees, wreathes, winter bedding plants such as pansies and snap dragons, along with Alabama, Auburn, Georgia and Florida university signs.
Pam Roquemore, an employee at AGC, said the top seller are the Christmas trees.
The store has Frasier Furs in large sizes, she said.
“This is the place to come,” Roquemore said.
Other famous Christmas items include the ever-popular poinsettias.
The AGC received a shipment of the red-leaved plant on Tuesday.
“That’s what everybody is waiting to get,” AGC employee Josh Dutton said about the poinsettias.
Andalusia Garden Center is located at 24375 US Hwy 29 North, Andalusia, AL 36420, and its hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., and on Saturday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
