Thanksgiving and Christmas means cold weather, time off from school and work and, most of all, food!

At Simone’s Café’ and Confectionery, LLC., located at 1514 E. Three Notch St. in Andalusia, good food is not just a part of their dine-in menu, it is also available in gift form.

Simone’s is now offering holiday gift baskets filled to the brim with your choice of baked goodies.

Layer cakes, pies, cheesecakes, confections and breads are all available, and owner Valerie Simone said customers can pick and choose the perfect combination to suit the sweet tooth on your Christmas list.

Orders for gift baskets should be placed 48 hours in advance in order to ensure the availability of the products on the list.

A complete list of cakes, pies, cheesecakes, confections, breads and other treats available for gift baskets can be found at Simone’s, and Valerie said, if you don’t find exactly what your are looking for, let her know. Her staff may be able to create the exact desert you desire.

For those simply looking or a nice holiday meal outside of their own kitchens, Simone’s also offers a large and varied menu.

The bakery is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.; Thursdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.; and Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Simone’s dining room is open for lunch Tuesdays through Fridays from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., and for dinner Thursdays and Fridays from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Brunch is also available Sundays from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. (Simone’s will be closed Sat., Nov. 30).
