Hello, fall!
That’s what most Covington County residents have said this week as they woke up to cool temperatures that remained steady throughout the day.
Social media feeds are filled with comments about morning temperatures, which as of Tuesday, hovered in the high 50s.
Forecasts for the next five days show highs in the upper 70s to low 80s and a nightly low ranging between 57 and 61 degrees.
There remains a minimal chance of rain throughout the week. Last month, more than six inches of rainfall was logged at the Yellow River Bridge, brining the annual rainfall total to 55.28 inches this year.
