Both local and federal authorities were searching for Jeremy Gardner after he fled Wednesday following a pursuit. Inside Gardner’s vehicle, Drug Task Force agents located 200 grams of “ICE” methamphetamine. Numerous interviews and a search of Gardner’s Conecuh County home allowed police to find more meth and numerous firearms. Police arrested Gardner’s girlfriend, Chandler Laine Fowler, for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She is currently being held in the Conecuh County Jail without bond.

According to Covington County jail reports, DTF agents arrested 28-year-old Alice Burgess for hindering prosecution in the case, and throughout the night, police continued to search for Gardner.

Sheriff Dennis Meeks said Gardner was located at a home on Plywood Mill Road just before lunch Thursday. He was taken into custody without incident.

Police have said that more arrests are forthcoming. A press conference is set for today at 10:30 a.m.
